Turn a Client Brief into a Proposal Draft

Paste a brief or capture text you choose, then draft a proposal and three milestone estimates in Chrome’s side panel. Review the scope, prices and timing before sharing.

For Chrome on Mac, Windows or Linux. This preview uses a manual install; it is not yet available through the Chrome Web Store.

Install in Chrome

  1. Unzip the download. On Mac, double-click it. On Windows, choose Extract All.
  2. Keep the extracted folder. Move it somewhere permanent, such as Documents. Chrome needs these files after installation.
  3. Open Chrome’s extensions page. Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
  4. Turn on Developer mode at the top right, then click Load unpacked.
  5. Select the folder containing manifest.json. Choose the folder itself, not the ZIP or the file. A ScopePilot card should appear with its switch on.
  6. Open ScopePilot. Click Chrome’s puzzle icon, pin ScopePilot, then click its icon to open the side panel.

Make your first draft

  1. In the side panel, click Try a sample brief, or paste your own brief.
  2. Set your hourly rate and choose a proposal angle.
  3. Click Generate Proposal + Scope Breakdown.
  4. Review the draft and estimates, then click Copy Proposal. Nothing is sent to a client automatically.

To use a webpage, open it, click the ScopePilot icon on that tab, then Capture Active Tab. Highlight text first to capture just that selection.

Your text stays on your device. The preview uses local templates, with optional Chrome on-device AI refinement when available. It stores settings and captured text locally and requests access only to the page you invoke it on. Read the extension privacy policy.
Stuck? Installation and capture tips

“Manifest missing”: choose the inner folder that contains manifest.json.

Capture unavailable: Chrome settings and the Web Store cannot be captured. Paste text instead. On a new website, click the ScopePilot icon again.

No side panel: check the extension is enabled, then open it from Chrome’s puzzle menu.

Updating: replace the files in the same folder, then click Reload on the ScopePilot card. Do not delete the folder while installed.

Managed browser: if manual installs are disabled, contact your browser administrator.
